The New 7 Wonders Were announced on 07-07-2007 in the official declaration ceremony held in Libson, Portugal by the New7Wonders Foundation.
Its a matter of great pride for the Indians that the Taj Mahal have found its way in to the list.
The New Wonders Of the World are :
* Taj Mahal, India
* Chichen Itza, Mexico
* The Roman Colloseum, Italy
* Petra, Jordan
* The Great Wall of China
* Christ Redeemer, Brazil
* Machu Picchu, Peru
This list is not approved by the UNESCO officially.

honestly, it made me so sad to know that ours -borobudur
temple, indonesia- has not been one of 7wonders of world anymore... but u have to know that it had been, n we were so proud of that, especially i was...
well,actually it doesnt really matter. the important thing is i love borobudur forever. hehe.. n truly i love it yet as much as i love taj mahal (i do not flatter u for u r an indian but really, it is wonderful...)
anyway thanks for let indonesian know bout the bad news, n congrats for all the new 7 wonders, unexceptly for india...

Hello dc girl.
I would have experienced the same sad situation of ur's if Taj was not included. But Indians are really proud of Taj and so we all voted. And India is a big country wit lots of people. So we won.
And when I come to Indodsia i hope to see that temple too.
